Nothing should stand in the way of you and your wine.
Founding Problem: Most consumers don’t believe they can find a wine they love without spending so they settle for low quality wines at low prices, knowing they’ll end up tossing a third of the bottle when it goes bad in two days.
Solution: The Kuvée smart dispenser allows consumers to open multiple bottles at the same time, and keeps the wine tasting fresh - for a month. Consumers effortlessly switch between reds and whites and learn while they’re drinking via an instructive UI on their dispenser.
Kuvée gives consumers the freedom to open and explore multiple bottles at a time, without the risk of spoiling - so they can drink higher priced wines, and find those that are perfect for their palate, at their own pace.
Pairing A New Bottle
Pairing a bottle with a user’s account is a crucial first step in their Kuvée experience, but qualitative and quantitative research revealed it was a barrier to entry for new users.
So a new pairing process was designed to reduce the friction of typing on the device, and to ensure users have an account.

Training Customers On Bottle Gestures
Bottle ratings feed the Kuvée suggestion matrix, which then influences subscription shipments, so customers need training to rate each bottle they try.
Messages were designed to provoke users into rating after a bottle has been inserted for 10 minutes. After a bottle is rated 5 stars, Kuvée will recommend another wine the user may enjoy.
Users can add directly to their cart and buy directly on the bottle. Additional messages were designed to warn users when they were almost out of wine, to encourage direct bottle purchases.
Asset Design
A series of assets was created to aid users during onboarding, clarify components of the UI, and give the product a friendly voice.
